Recently Hang w/ users got to follow along with Larry the Cable Guy as he broadcasted live from the “Tonight” show green room with actor Matt Damon; and fans got to ride-along with Lucy Hale as she headed to the studio to record her first country single.
Whether celebrities and sports stars are partying it up at an exclusive night club, warming up for a big game, clowning around backstage or simply lounging with friends, Hang w/ shows all the behind-the-scenes action. Best of all, anyone can share and experience moments in real time with friends, family and followers, from anywhere in the world.
With over one million downloads within nine months of the March 2013 launch, Hang w/ has been attracting many types of people due to its unique ability to connect people of all walks to life in real time.
CEO and founder of Hang w/ Andrew Maltin, states that the idea for the live streaming app came about four years ago within the Orange-County based MEDL Mobile company. Maltin explains that construction of the app was challenging because it required creating a software that both captures video and then streams it to multiple devices at once. The videos can run from three- to nine-minutes in length, and users can broadcasts anytime, even back-to-back.
