For the average working person in America, Sundays are a day to rest and catch up on some much needed sleep before starting another busy week. It is a day to to relax, sit back, and worry about absolutely nothing. This coming Sunday is different. This coming Sunday is “Super Bowl Sunday.” On this highly anticipated day, more than 100 million people will be glued to their television screens watching the most famous game of the entire year. Rather than relaxing and preparing for the following week, people will be gathering at bars or having a group of friends over to cheer on their favorite team. For those who have to miss the Superbowl because you are unable to take work off, have travel plans, or for will not be near a television for this must-see event, you are in luck that technology will bring the game to you.
CNN reporter Heather Kelly has shared 5 alternative tech tips to assure that absolutely no one misses out on the festivities of Super Bowl Sunday. Starting Sunday morning at 12 AM Eastern Time and running until Monday morning at 3 AM, the game can be streamed online through FoxSportsGo.com via a computer or iPad. If you are a Verizon customer and pay $5/month for premium features, the game can be live streamed through the official NFL app. Another alternative to stay updated on scores and highlights is to use social media. Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram are three networks that will keep you well informed. @Superbowl is the official Super Bowl Twitter account and you can follow @NFL and/or @FOXSports on Instagram for constant updates. If you find you are in a place where you are unable to watch the game, Fox presents two listening options. You can find it for free via Sirius XM Radio or pay $9.99 to listen on a computer or tablet through NFL Audio Pass. Audio for the game can also be found on local sports radio stations.
To a number of viewers, the actual game is the least important part of the entire experience. Many partake in the festivities wholly for the entertaining commercials and half-time show (performed this year by Bruno Mars). For those of you who will be missing all the excitement, you need not worry! Super Bowl commercials can be viewed on AdWeek, Twitter, and YouTube and the halftime show can be found on YouTube following the performance. As a result of social media and the high-tech world we now live in, absolutely no one will be resting this Sunday!
