(Los Angeles, CA) – Jina Park, CEO and founder of PLUSH and PlushLittleBaby.com, welcomes Nathan Marks as Event Manager for the company’s premier baby and toddler show. PLUSH is a yearly event in Los Angeles that brings together the latest and most luxurious products and services for a three-day star-studded event. The 2013 show will take place at the Los Angeles Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, 2025 Avenue of the Stars from June 7th – 9th.
Marks’ duties will include integrating business, consumer and retail needs into a total experience that offers entertainment and fun, along with serious shopping. He will also be tasked with bringing in retailers to give them an opportunity to meet both manufacturers and consumers in the high-end baby products market. The goal of the PLUSH show is to provide an ultra-hip outlet to gather and become immersed in the very best the juvenile industry has to offer.
“We are excited to have Nathan on board because next year’s event will be even bigger and better as we expand to bring business-to-business components to our show,” said owner Jina Park. “Previous attendees have commented on the organization our staff provides, the fun they have, and our outstanding ability to easily meet the needs of vendors and guests alike. Nathan will have his work cut out for him to continue this level of excellence while seamlessly blending in the new business-to-business elements, so everyone continues to get exactly what they need from the PLUSH show.”
With extensive experience in the juvenile industry and a mind brimming with ideas for keeping PLUSH on the cutting edge of the luxury baby products and services market, Marks looks forward to helping PLUSH bring a continued fresh ambiance to the juvenile industry. Nathan holds a CEM (certified event manager) higher education accreditation from the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), with a background that includes ventures as senior logistics manager for the largest juvenile industry trade show in America, the ABC Expo, as well as years of marketing and business-to-business relationship building. Already a successful show manager and public relations manager, Nathan is an expert on making relationships work, particularly tense and complicated situations such as those encountered at trade shows and in building manufacturer-to-retail relationships.
PLUSH, the posh little urbanites show, was started as an extension of Park’s PlushLittleBaby.com blog and website, which features advice and the latest in eco-friendly products and services for today’s socially aware and fashion-conscious parents. Response to the website was so great that Park decided to start a trade show where retailers and consumers could gather with the latest and most innovative products in the juvenile market. PLUSH continues to expand on this foundation and hopes to bring even more participants to the show in coming years.
