Los Angeles tech and apps public relations firm PMBC Group’s client, CEO Bryan Leach, creator of mobile rebate shopping app Ibotta had an interview on WPTF Radio. Ibotta, a mobile app that can be downloaded for free on to any smartphone pays cash back on items purchased in store by its users. It focuses mainly on grocery needs and is already in over 100,000 retail sites including the likes of Target, Walmart, Best Buy and Pet Smart. Users simply download the app and follow a simple set of instructions before they’re able to get real cash back rewards into their account. To date, over 3.5 million Ibotta users have received nearly $11 million in cash back.
Users can easily find participating retailers. They simply type in the zip code and the nearest stores where the app can be used, will be listed. You can get top brand cash rebates from your work outfit, to your weekly grocery shop, to your daily coffee at Starbucks. Ibotta can also be used in popular restaurants, top clothing retailers such as Nordstrom and Macy’s, pet supply stores such as Pet Smart and electronic outlets such as Best Buy.
During the course of the interview, Bryan Leach was asked why he started Ibotta. One of his reasons was to cover off the need for a dedicated ‘one stop shop’ where consumers could access all their retailers in one go when it came to checking out store discounts. More recently, Ibotta decided to add a social element and introduced Ibotta teams, where users can invite their friends to join them to save even more money on their purchases. The more people you add to the team the faster you earn rewards. With that said Ibotta Is a great way to save and receive rewards regardless.
