Rapper 50 Cent sat down with the top-tier business outlet Fast Company to discuss his transition from the music industry to the booming business world, including his latest investment in Los Angeles Tech PR firm PMBC Group’s client Hang w/. Fast Company’s Adam Popescu compared being an artist to the role of a startup entrepreneur, where both innovators are looking for a product that will last, lead its industry and grow a strong following.
Recently 50 Cent attended the CES trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada to promote Hang w/ where he described his experience using the live streaming app to connect with his fans. 50 Cent told Fast Company that later this year he will be creating the first live-streaming music video, sent directly to the smartphones of his almost 1 million Hang w/user following as well as millions of others across his various social media platforms.
50 Cent understands the importance of social networking and thinks that what sets Hang w/ apart is user’s ability to stream live for an extended period of time and communicate directly with an audience. Hang w/ not only connects celebrities and social media influencers to their followers through video, but has a simultaneous chat feature that allows for large audiences worldwide to connect and chat with the broadcaster as well as others watching.
In a world of digital modernization, there is a continual growth in communication through a visual capacity and Hang w/ is leading its field. Adding authenticity to the game, Hang w/ has been able to attract the likes of celebrities such as 50 Cent.
