Voice of the Valley, which provides news coverage for the towns and communities of the Maple Valley area in the state of Washington, featured cannabis industry expert Vincent Mehdizadeh in a news story about the Samich weed truck that rolled through Washington last month. Mehdizadeh, a client of Los Angeles tech public relations firm PMBC Group, has received national media attention for his industry-changing Medbox dispensing machines which are systematically synced to comply with state regulations on storing, dispensing and controlling inventory for medical marijuana.
Mehdizadeh, medical marijuana pioneer and founder and senior strategist of Medbox, Inc., is excited about the growth in the cannabis industry but is wary about its steep climb. He personally advises and consults directly with over 400 marijuana dispensary clients imploring compliance, efficiency and transparency.
As part of this endeavor to have better regulations and inventories for medical marijuana, Mehdizadeh created Medbox’s safe dispensing solution which allows for medical marijuana dispensaries to keep better track of their inventory by using biometric technology. For consumers, it guarantees that the product they are buying is high quality and certified to have no traces of synthetic product in it.
While finding better ways to manage medical marijuana distribution, Mehdizadeh is also an active philanthropist and has donated over $1 million to a number of organizations including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and marijuana industry advocacy groups including the Drug Policy Alliance, Americans for Safe Access and Marijuana Policy Project.
Mehdizadeh is now in the process of writing his autobiography, detailing his life journey of overcoming personal challenges and tragedies in order to achieve personal success. The book will be out in January 2015 and all proceeds will be donated to select charities that are close to Mehdizadeh’s heart.
