The innovative social exchange platform Heard, a client of Los Angeles-based tech and app public relations firm PMBC Group, was recently featured on I Am Wire, the leading source of user formation on digital business, technology and culture. Heard allows users to have a personalized content stream based on their algorithm containing signals throughout the platform. Heard has the ability to see which content users scroll over, while most social media competitors can only track those posts which have been liked, favorited or commented on.
All content created on Heard can then be specifically delivered to the cohort of people most interested whether its an audience of one or a million. Every time users scroll over, read, vote up/down a post and comment, Heard is able to learn more about the user’s interests. This allows them to group people into more and more specific cohorts in real-time. Unlike most platforms where people have to follow other users, Heard allows individuals to follow those topics they are most passionate about. Those posts and users that are the most popular will appear at the top of the feed.
Heard has various channels including Public, Tech, Entertainment and Lifestyle, to which users can both post and search for content. Each channel has 100 pieces of content that vary in size depending on the likelihood of the user being interested. Once they choose a channel, there are five types of posts they can contribute: Say, Predict, Poll, Ask and Leak. One of the key features of Heard is that users can post completely anonymously, can be identified through badges or have a combination of badges as well as a incomplete or complete profile. Users have complete control over their online identity.
