Appster.org recently reviewed the latest lottery app Lottolotto on its website a resource for news and up-to-date information on all the latest iPhone and iPad apps downloads. Lottolotto, a client of Los Angeles tech and apps public relation firm PMBC Group, is a free app that allows users to check lottery tickets for winnings in U.S. lotteries, from multi-state to daily drawing.
The idea for Lottolotto came to CEO Brett Jacobson when he went to collect on some of his winning tickets and most had already expired.
“I had something like $200 in winning tickets, but all but $51 of that had already expired,” he said.
Lottolotto eliminates the unnecessary suspense involved in playing the lottery. All a user needs to do is scan the lottery ticket, using your smartphone or tablet and the app will tell you in real time if you’ve won. Once the photo is taken, Lottolotto uses optical character recognition to recognize the lottery game, drawing date, and ticket numbers.
Lottolotto is the only lottery app that does not require users to manually input their ticket numbers or other data. If the drawings have not been read, it alerts players when they are. It’s that easy. The app can also recognize and store as many tickets as needed.
Lottolotto stands out amongst other lottery ticket scanning apps by supporting lotteries in all states and Washington D.C. Furthermore, it allows players to create and participate in lottery pools. Players may add members to a pool, upload as many tickets as they like and watch as Lottolotto manages all of the tickets in the pool.
What’s most unique about Lottolotto is the absence of advertising. The app collects revenue from participating lottery retail stores.
