SideChef, a client of Los Angeles-based tech and apps public relations firm PMBC Group, has expanded to an even larger community of cooks on the Android platform. The app was funded via Kickstarter back in August and up until now was only featured on iOS devices. TheNextWeb, a media company concentrating on technology news, business and culture, released this news to the technology community yesterday.
The free app helps people at all culinary levels grow as cooks by choosing from now 1,1000 recipes from top chefs, food bloggers and foodies . Its auditory and visual aids make sure your main focus can be on your food and cooking technique to elevate the quality of your food. The finished product will always come out in perfect time with SideChef’s automatic timers that sound even when cooks navigate to another app. The finished product will then be added to the user’s cooking history along with their personal rating, review and tags. Furthermore, you can base your recipe searches on the ingredients you already have in your house.
SideChef’s expansion to Android means that an even more diverse group of cooks can upload and share their recipes. This means there will be more recipes to discover based on region, type of dish or beverage and even more choices for those with dietary restrictions. Users can also not only share recipes but what they are cooking should they be planning a dinner party or event together, with grocery lists also sharable across devices.
With SideChef having jumped to the Top 10 Food & Drinks apps in the iTunes Store, we can only expect the same success with the Android launch.
